Of course appliances like the stove, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator make most of kitchen. However, these are not the only appliances that are in the kitchen. These extra appliances are usually smaller and used daily. Sometimes multiple times throughout the day. It’s these appliances that don’t get enough credit and even though they are small, they can make a big difference. Which appliances make our kitchen better? Before you go shopping for appliances to stock your kitchen, keep in mind your kitchen’s particular needs and lifestyle. Purchasing a bread maker when you don’t eat bread doesn’t help anyone. Here are several of the top appliances that make our lives that much easier!
Coffee Maker – This would be a gadget that you would need only if you drink coffee. Coffee makers come in a variety of styles and your options are limitless. Do you drink just one cup? Or a pot? Do you want a maker that makes specialty coffees or just the regular brew? These are the questions you need to ask when deciding on a coffee maker.
Stand Mixer – I don’t know about you, but I love baked goods. Homemade cookies and cakes are the best. At some point, you will be making cupcakes or a cookie, so having this mixer is great as it makes everything easier. To top it off, you also have the freedom to multitask verses having a hand mixer. Just think of the great smells!
Blenders – Blenders are a great tool to use in the kitchen when making frozen treats and smoothies. Healthy soups can be made from whole veggies and instead of buying pre-ground seeds and oats, grinding them yourself will save money.
Slow Cooker – Nothing beats a meal that is prepared and then forgotten. Put all the ingredients into one container and cook for several hours. Once you open the lid, you will want to eat it all. Using a slow cooker is great for all occasions and is a great appliance in any kitchen. Crockpots make dinner simple on busy days when you don’t want to slave over the stove.
Food Processors – Many tasks such as slicing, chopping, blending, and pureeing can be accomplished by this tool. Not only will it do these tasks, a processor will do so quickly and efficiently. For those that aren’t a professional chef, like myself, having one in your kitchen will definitely make your cooking experiences better.
