Last week we covered 6 Timeless Bathroom Trends, but this week it’s time to step outside the box and get creative. If you’re ready to start day-dreaming about tiling, make sure you check out these trends!

1. Iridescent

Iridescent decor has been slowly creeping back into popularity, and now in 2017 it’s a front-runner in active trends. Akin to the interior of a seashell or the glossy sheen of an oil slick, it’s becoming much easier to find stylish iridescent designs for your abode, tile included. Whether you have a palette of colors you’re trying to match your tile to, or you just enjoy the colorful sheen, this trend is definitely worth a look.

2. Pearl

Pearl is another trend that’s making a come-back, if it ever truly left, and it’s taking both the design and beauty world by storm. Chic, delicate, and charming, adding pearl tile to your makeover will definitely add that extra bit of magic you’ve been looking for.

3. Metallic

The best benefit of metallic tiles is the variety of effects you can get within one trend. You can go from luxe, to sophisticated, to rustic with just a few different shades.

4. Moroccan Fish Scale

What could possibly be better for creating a kid’s bathroom with an ocean theme than fish scale shaped tiles? They come in a variety of colors and sizes. You can mix and match what shades you use and create a palette, or stick to one color. Simple design but highly effective.

5. Mirror Tiles

Turn your tiling design into a statement piece by adding mirrored tiles. I’m a fan of anything that’s multi-purpose, and these tiles definitely fit the bill. Don’t forget the added perk that mirrors create the illusion of a bigger space.

6. Backsplash Grout Lines

The possibilities of this trend are endless. Mix and match your favorite tiles by adding thin strips of backsplash tiles in between larger tiles. The bonus of this trend is that you’re replacing a lot of the grout, which will make keeping your floors or backsplash much cleaner.
